After
each use:
Rinse mouthpiece. Wipe instrument
with cloth, especially where held.
Occasionally:
Fill bathtub with warm water, add a
couple of drops of liquid dish soap.
Lay a towel in the bottom of the tub
to protect both the instrument and
the tub from being scratched. Remove
all slides and place in tub with
horn. Clean ends of slides with a
washcloth, to remove grease. Also
clean around tubing on horn to
remove grease and dust that may
collect. Use the “snake” to clean
out the inside of the slides on the
horn. Once you have cleaned and
rinsed the horn you will need to dry
it completely. Reassemble the horn
and lubricate all of the slides with
a thin layer of grease. Apply rotary
oil to the inside of the horn as
well as bearings and levers.
If mouthpiece gets stuck, do not try
to remove it yourself.
Bring it in-we have a special
tool for that.
Keep instrument in case when not in
use.
Do not store other items in
case that may press on instrument.
If you have a problem with
instrument or case, bring it in
right away-don’t try to fix it
yourself.
Keep your instrument clean
and be careful with it.
