Dear Customer
We thank you
for taking an interest in our store.
In the 30 years we’ve been around,
the store itself has undergone quite
a few changes!

In 1979, Steve
Subject began teaching at a small
music store in
Sound
Beach which at the time
was called Tony Sanns Music.
A few months later, he began
working in the store and within a
short time became the manager.
On January 1, 1985, he
purchased the store and has owned it
since.
Sally Morrison began working
in the store in 1987.
Steve and Sally got married
in 1988.
In 1989, the store
first expanded to five teaching
rooms and added a drum shop.
In 1994, Sound Beach Music
moved from
Sound Beach
to
Miller Place,
expanding to seven teaching rooms.
In February, 2004 we moved to
our current location which is twice
as large as the previous one and
only three doors down.
We currently have ten lesson
rooms for private lessons on any
instrument.
Steve and Sally
attribute much of the store’s
success to the teamwork and
commitment of the employees. The
friendly and knowledgeable staff is
a key to the success of the store.
Currently, Sound
Beach Music sponsors many community
oriented programs, including the
North Shore Little League, giving
free rentals to those in financial
need, and also giving college
scholarships to local high school
seniors. We also contribute to
Theatre Three, North Shore Youth
Council, Council of Dedicated
Merchants, and the Miller Place
Civic Association.

Thank you so much
for taking time to learn a little
more about our store. We hope you
come on in and take a look around.
Sincerely,

Steve Subject and Sally
Morrison
